The backstretch rivals the races for excitement. You and your family and friends can watch the intense preparation while your horse is tacked, trained, and groomed. Yellow Rose Racing offers two types of Partnerships:

The 'Racing and Residual' (RR) Partnership is the traditional package offered throughout the industry.  It represents a percentage interest in a horse or a group of horses. When a horse wins 'Racing' purse money, the money is split among the partners on a defined percentage basis. Second, when a horse is sold or syndicated, a defined percentage of the 'Residual' value is shared among the partners. Monthly costs of maintaining the horse are also shared: feed, training, grooming, travel, veterinary, tack, teeth and administrative are some of the basic costs.

The 'Racing Only' (RO) Partnership is a 'value' partnership that represents a defined percentage of the 'Racing' purse money. The time duration of the partnership is stated up front: a one year term, for example.  The RO Partnership normally includes a package of multiple animals to diversify risk. For instance, a partner might own 5% of 4 different horses. The RO Partnership's attraction is that an owner acquires rights without extra costs. Everything is packaged up front for a one time fee. Additionally, because there are no future, monthly costs and no residual value, this package is much less expensive than a 'Racing and Residual' package. The RO Package offers lower cost of entry with purse money upside, entertainment upside, and all the social advantages of ownership.
